A herd of wild elephants entered a banana plantation. They trampled over 200 trees. But one — just one — they left standing.
Why?
Because that tree held a sparrow’s nest. Four tiny chicks. Hidden. Vulnerable. Alive.
The land belonged to a farmer in a forested region overseen by the Public Works Department in India.
The elephants were wild. Untamed. And yet, they noticed what we often don’t. A fragile life. And they chose to protect it. This didn’t happen in a sanctuary. Not in a zoo. But in the heart of rural India.
Moral:
A lesson, hidden in the jungle that empathy is not exclusive to humans. That sometimes, the wild teaches us to be more civilized. If elephants can pause for a nest… can we learn to tread more gently on this land we all share?
Because true power isn’t how much you can destroy. It is knowing when to show mercy!
Have a great week ahead…!
