Monday Motivation….. May 02, 2011 (012)
Once upon a time there was a hard-headed farmer named Smitty.
When a flood hit the area, he climbed onto the roof of his house. A rescue boat came along but Smitty told them, “No, thanks. I have faith in the God. He will save me.
The waves got even higher and the farmer had to go to the very top of the roof. Another boat came by to save him, but he still insisted that the God would save him.
Then the water began to get his feet wet and a helicopter swooped down to take him away. But the farmer still depended on the God to save him.
Well, you can easily imagine what happened. Yes, he was drowned.
When he stood before the God in the next world, he complained, “God, I had such faith in you. Why didn’t you save me?”
God smiled and replied, “What more do you want me to do? I sent you two boats and a helicopter”
Moral:
“One has to act to get all the success as blessing of the God. Faith without action won’t help. God provides you food but we have to use our hands to take the food & teeth to chew it.”
