Monday Motivation….. May 26, 2025 (748)
A poor man lived humbly with his wife, both struggling to make ends meet.
One day, his wife, who had beautiful, long hair, asked him if he could buy her a comb so she could take better care of it and keep it well-groomed.
The man felt a pang of sorrow as he explained gently, “I’m sorry, my dear. I can’t afford a comb right now. I don’t even have the money to repair the strap of my broken watch.”
Understanding their situation, she smiled softly and dropped the matter without insisting further.
That day, as the man went to work, he passed by a watch shop. A thought crossed his mind, and he sold his broken watch for a small amount of money. With it, he bought a comb for his wife, imagining how happy it would make her.
When he returned home in the evening, the comb in his hand, he was stunned to see his wife with her hair cut short. She had sold her beautiful locks to buy a new strap for his watch.
They both stood there, holding the fruits of their sacrifices, tears streaming down their faces—not out of regret but from the depth of their love for each other.
Moral:
To love is a gift, to be loved is a blessing, but to love and be loved in return by the one you cherish—that is everything. Never take love for granted!
